Changes in geopolitics are an important topic in recent political science, such as the rise of emerging powers, changes in international order, changes in regional power structures, and the reorganization of international political economy, which have profound impacts on national democratic politics, international status, citizen participation, and party competition, thereby affecting the development of democratic politics, international relations, and public administration.

This symposium explores the responses and developments in various sub-fields of political science from the premise of geopolitical changes. It observes how domestic party competition and citizen participation, domestic political issues and voter behavior triggered by changes in the international environment, stability of democratic systems, and citizen trust are affected under these changes. It also includes the occurrence and possibilities of international governance, and how public administration responds to geopolitical changes through policy formulation and implementation, and the provision of public services.

This symposium aims to provide participants with a platform to understand and respond to geopolitical changes through in-depth discussions and exchanges, and to make valuable suggestions for Taiwan's political development. We sincerely invite people from all walks of life to participate and discuss this important topic and look forward to participants sharing their experiences and insights, combining academic research with practical application to achieve more concrete and practical results.
